Dick Cheney's In The Hospital

Dick Cheney's in the hospital again. It's always interesting whenever one of these cretins takes sick, the kind of comments that people make on Twitter or in the comments column.

One, since he is indeed a worthless cretin, they're often trying to hew a middle path of hoping he gets better while allowing that he really is no good. Like your hope that someone gets better is not dependent upon the person being any good.

When it comes to this stuff, wishing someone gets better, it seems to me that it's basically a waste of time. I do it myself, though, like with friends, because friends know you, your thoughts matter to them. When Dick Cheney gets sick, it's pointless (in my opinion) to be wishing much in his direction, because he's not going to notice or appreciate it anyway.

Let's put it this way, he doesn't wish me anything when I get sick. Not that I get sick that often, but sometimes I don't feel well. I've never heard from Dick Cheney, or any other high muckety muck for that matter.

Do I wish Dick Cheney well? My wishes have nothing to do with it. Eventually everyone's going to die. It could be his time. Or maybe five years from now. Or maybe 10 years from now. Sometime in the next 100 years, one has to assume, he's going to meet his maker, good wishes or not.

Those Disgusting Cheneys

The disgusting Cheneys -- Father and Daughter -- continue to slander President Obama. Anything and everything he does is something that comes in for their harsh criticism.

I don't know if he snores, but if he does, please don't tell the Cheneys.

Whatever happened to the good old days, the previous eight years, when a president could do no wrong? I believe it was the Cheneys who believed in something called the Unitary Executive Doctrine, that a president couldn't be wrong simply by virtue of being the president.

It seems that they've changed their mind.

Cheney, Bah!

President Obama is taking flak from the Republicans for showing respect for foreign leaders, such as a commonplace gesture in Japan, bowing to the Japanese emperor.

This is no big surprise, since of course he'd be taking flak from the Republicans if he didn't show respect for foreign leaders. If we've learned anything about the Republicans by now, it's that they're mad if the sun comes up and they're mad if it goes down.

Now the biggest, rottenest, sleaziest Republican of them all -- one of the biggest, rottenest, and sleaziest anyway -- Dick Cheney says it shows "weakness." You see where this is going, I hope? If Dick Cheney is criticizing you, you must be doing something right. I wouldn't take advice from Dick Cheney on any subject if he handed out free lollipops.

They're talking about a new prison for terrorists. Can we get a cell strong enough to hold Dick Cheney? The man's a world menace. And that goes for his brain-addled family as well.

Ahhh, The Smell Of Actual Liberty

Up till yesterday I've been merely happy that we're finally rid of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. After the inauguration of course I had that giddiness but I'd let it slip a little. Like when you take the garbage out, once they haul it away you don't think about it that much.

With yesterday being Sept. 10, it suddenly occurred to me that we were on the eve once again of Sept. 11! And it suddenly occurred to me as well that this is the first 9/11 without the criminality of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney plaguing our nation on that and every other day.

How terrible every 9/11 observance was! Having Bush and Cheney and the rest of their despicable henchmen exploiting the tragedy for their crass political gain. Remember back, think back, how terrible it was, the way they used 9/11 as a cudgel for everything they wanted. They made so many trips to the 9/11 well they pumped it dry! It was ridiculous.

I don't want to make everyone sick with all these bad memories, but if you haven't eaten yet, think back to how often the words "9/11" and "September 11" came off of Bush's lying lips -- like every other word. The moron took the biggest monument to his incompetence as a badge of honor.

When the nation rallied around him in those terrible days, he mistakenly took it as some kind of endorsement of him personally. But they knew in the White House, it wasn't an endorsement, but was something out of fear and our common cause. And that's what they exploited, over and over and over again. For that alone, the criminal Bush administration must never be forgiven.

For the Bush White House, 9/11 was the perfect excuse to go to war. And go to war we did, with a vengeance. Unfortunately the vengeance was against the wrong ones, duh. Like we were saying at the time: Pearl Harbor was attacked and we went to war with Australia! We decided the best way to go after Al Qaeda was to take out Saddam Hussein, a total disconnect from reality!

All this was very convenient, since the Bushies had that in mind even while Bill Clinton was president. And having come into power with the same desire, what better way to get Hussein than to tar him with the stink of 9/11? That, my friends, is exploitation. And that was criminal. Think of all the people who died through the evil of the Bush administration. It's 9/11 multiplied many times.

Think of the awful putrescence of having George W. Bush commemorate 9/11 every year. Like he was some kind of super patriot. George W. Bush was a scourge. And, with Cheney, a waste of space.

The first 9/11 without these crooks! Ahhh, this is the smell of actual liberty!

I Find Dick Cheney Offensive

Where is that hallowed hiding place this criminal spent the last eight years? Can we broaden the perks of the ex-vice presidency to allow him to go there again, burrow in, and never reappear. I'll chip in 20 bucks if Dick Cheney will go there and leave us alone.

This criminal is always popping up his head, trying to tamp down any investigations of his criminal past, of engaging in torture, crimes against humanity.

Now they're doing the least little investigation -- nothing like the full blown no holds barred baring of the truth that we need -- and here he is again, slithered forth from his hole, to object once again.

Cheney says any investigation "offends the hell out of me." You know what, most criminals would probably just as soon no one investigated them. I really would guess that the guy who knocks off a liquor store hopes he'll get away and no one will pursue him.

Come to think of it, I would guess the prisons are full of people who would've liked it if no one pursued and caught them. They probably would've liked it later if they would've dropped all the charges and let them go free. I suppose that's true.

I don't expect Cheney to go to prison -- which is what he likely deserves -- because he's a big time criminal, the kind we can't usually touch. So he's free to get on TV and spout about it. But he ought to at least have the decency to shut his mouth. But of course if he had any decency in the first place he wouldn't be in this predicament.

You know, for a guy who about died of a heart attack in 1999, this guy must've had some great healthcare. We need him as a poster child for healthcare reform. I want whatever healthcare it is that's kept Dick Cheney kicking and doing evil all these years. Still evil after all these years!

More Cheney News, Ho Hum

I see they're reporting (NY Times) that Dick Cheney ordered the CIA not to disclose to Congress their various activities. Leon Panetta's telling it that way.

For anyone else, this could potentially be a problem. For Cheney, who seems to be quite above the law, it's just another day.

Is there anything this guy could do that would get him in trouble?

If he robbed a bank and they were chasing him down the road, I can hear it now. They're radioing ahead, "It's Cheney." "OK, let him go. Back to the station, men."

The Blame For 9/11

OK, we now know who wasn't to blame for 9/11, Richard Clarke.

How do we know this? Because Dick Cheney says Richard Clarke was to blame for it. Since nothing true comes out of Cheney's lying mouth, that means Clarke is a saint.

Seriously, c'mon. Clarke spoke repeatedly against Bush and Cheney and their neglect of terrorism leading up to 9/11. If Cheney's going to throw anyone under the bus, who else is it going to be?

Can you believe how often Cheney is out there front and center these days? It's like a curse. The guy won't go away.

I'm Losing Track

Wow, I've been out of touch. I'm losing track of all the give and take between Dick Cheney, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Steele, Newt Gingrich, and all the other Republican clowns. And when I say I'm losing track, I mean exactly that.

I keep checking on the blogs I look at, and there are the headlines, what one of these (I'll say it again) clowns has said today or yesterday, and it just starts to run together, like fountain pen ink in a rainstorm. Or like mascara when you've been crying.

As far as Michael Steele goes, maybe I'm living in a circular world in which the same report is being processed and reprocessed over and over. Or maybe this guy just never shuts his mouth. Is he giving interviews in his sleep? Once you've been burnt on some of the stupid stuff you say ... it's just my opinion ... but it seems like you'd fly below the radar for a while. Or is his job just to be incendiary and let the chips fall where they may?

Newt Gingrich wants to jump into the mix and seems to be doing so more and more. He thinks he has a chance. I don't think he has a chance. I think his best days are behind him. And they weren't that great. Rush, I don't listen to him, but somehow it seems like I've heard that he's pulling back a bit. And Dick Cheney, the guy is such a disgrace -- doubtlessly guilty of crimes against humanity -- it seems like he would want to keep a lower profile. But I suppose when you were at death's door over 10 years ago with heart problems, you're not that worked up now about what might happen to you.

And Cheney obviously thinks the best defense is a good offense, or the best way to play is to stay on offense as much as possible. And there's a certain logic in putting it blatantly "in our face," and thereby keeping his risk down. It's counterintuitive. I believe we've seen that over the years. If you're going to muck up things, muck up the water, do it in a blatant, drastic, overwhelming way. Take Clinton for an example, he did some little thing and got nailed for it. But if he had some it in a blatant, drastic, overwhelming way, the case would have been so complicated and convoluted no one would've known what to do about it.

I can't believe I'm about to say something nice about George W. Bush. At least he's had the decency to keep a fairly low profile.

Cheney Ought To Shut Up

...but really, I guess I don't want him to. I wanted him to shut up till it was pointed out how much dead weight he is for the Republicans. Now, as long as I can turn him off, I want him to keep yakking it up. All the way through the 2010 elections would be great.

But he really ought to shut up. The guy's a continual reminder of the worst administration in anyone's memory. The Bush administration was one massive failure and a criminal enterprise at that. Anything that reminds us of that dark chapter in American history should obviously make the Democratic prospects brighter. Because you have to be one sicko to want to return to those perverted years.

And what Cheney's yakking it up about! LOL! How great torture is! Which of course they denied doing at the time, since they're pathological liars. And how Obama is not keeping us safe. Which brings up a great point. Just once I'd love to hear one of the worthless talking heads on TV say, "Mr. Cheney, you have pointed that that President Obama is not keeping us safe." He's nodding in the affirmative. "Remind us again where you were on 9/11." Why the country ever gave Bush and Cheney a pass for 9/11 has been a mystery to me.

Anyway, if I'm Cheney, mum's the word. As much as a criminal as he is, I would definitely exercise my right to remain silent.

Cheney - Blah II

Someone wrote at Daily Kos that any time Cheney talks that's a good thing for the Democrats, because he's such a hated guy. As long as we have a true war criminal (and a scumbag to boot) as one of the official voices for the Republican party, that makes them look bad and that's good for us.

So I guess I can hold my nose and say, "Speak, Dick, speak!"

We all remember that Cheney was always truth-challenged. But now he said he formally asked the CIA to release certain documents and the CIA says he didn't. He must be remembering the old days when he simply did it himself. Wow, how do we get these truly disgusting people in our government? We need to do background checks on these people. Basically if you want the job, you're suspect.

The Republicans have a sorry lot speaking up for them these days. Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Bobby Jindal, Cheney, Karl Rove. Speak, boys, speak! None of them is any good ... and people know it.

Cheney - Blah!

You remember Cheney, the ex-vice president and current scumbag extraordinaire? The guy's out of office but that doesn't stop him from doing his level best to muck up the world some more. Of course he doesn't have a shred of dignity, but with his post vice-presidency he's delving into minus points territory.

When he was veep, we had no idea where the idiot was. Now that he's out of office, he's up with the morning sun and basically blocking our view. His dark shadow dims every day. And what's he got to say for himself? Nothing much for himself. But he keeps close tabs on President Obama, and guess what, he doesn't like anything Obama does. That's kind of weird for a guy who ran a warmongering, criminal enterprise while he was in office. It seems like someone like that would at least have enough self-interest to keep his yap shut now.

I'd keep my yap shut if I were him, because of course Obama has enough goods on Cheney to lock him away for life, however short that may be, since he about keeled over from heart troubles 10 years ago. Sheesh.

OK, what terrible thing has Obama done now? Pull Dick's string. Hear Dick speak. Speak, Dick, speak. On second thought, please spare us, moron.

Oh, OK, what's he got to say this time? He's criticizing Obama (yawn) for daring to shake the hand of Hugo Chavez. That's going to make us weak, going to make our enemies think we're pushovers, make .... oh, who cares?

After all, thanks to Cheney's idiotic policies while in office, we haven't got the luxury right this minute of going to war with everyone in the world. Maybe we need to give peace a chance, if that's OK with the war criminals. I say put Cheney on trial. Give him a fair trial. And when the guilty verdict comes in, let the penalty fit the crimes.

Then go after his underling, George W. Bush. He's probably just as guilty. Ignorance is no excuse, right?

Cheney's Incest Joke Unloved

Dick Cheney's incest/West Virginia joke at the National Press Club didn't go over well.

When the folks of West Virginia heard the joke, including Gov. Joe Manchin, they were upset.

Here's what happened. He got into a discussion about himself and Barack Obama being eighth cousins. Then came this. He revealed that he recently learned there were Cheneys on his mother's side of the family as well as his father's side. He quipped, "So I had Cheneys on both sides of the family and we don't even live in West Virginia."

He has since apologized, through a spokeswoman. No word yet when he'll apologize for everything else he's done.
