Palin and the American Flag

The American flag we have has 50 stars. Not 49.

But Sarah Palin was a member of a political party in Alaska that wanted to secede from the Union. Under their plan Alaska would be a separate country independent of the United States.

What this means is she doesn't support the flag that we currently have.

Troops have fought and died in the service of our country, represented by the American flag. If someone does not honor the American flag, that person is not qualified to be Vice President.
